The Guitar Tricks Black Friday deal, in one table
| The deal | 12 months of Guitar Tricks Full Access for $99 (normally $179), plus the Ultimate Beginner Bundle of extras listed below. Guitar Tricks quotes the whole package at an $899 value. |
| What you really save | $80 against the list price of a year, or $44 against the best coupon code (SAVE20, which gives $143.20). |
| Live since | Early November 2026. Guitar Tricks has not published an end date; in 2025 the same offer ended on 28 November, the day after Black Friday. We will update this line the moment a date appears. |
| Guarantee | Guitar Tricks’ standard 60-day money-back guarantee applies. |
| Renewal | Guitar Tricks describes it as $99 for your first year, so expect the standard annual price when it renews. Put the renewal date in your calendar when you sign up. |
What is in the 2026 bundle
The core of the bundle is the thing you actually want: a year of Full Access, which is every one of the 11,000+ lessons, the Core Learning System, the four style courses, the full song library, the toolbox and the apps. On its own that is $179. The extras, with the values Guitar Tricks assigns to them:
| Item | What it is | Value quoted by Guitar Tricks |
|---|---|---|
| 12 months Full Access | Every lesson, song, tool and app | $359 (list price is $179 if you pay annually) |
| Custom Lesson Plan | An instructor builds a practice plan around your goals and current level | $99 |
| Premium Bootcamp access | A structured intensive course | $79 |
| 100 Essential Licks series | A lick library with tab and video | $79 |
| Ultimate Beginner Guide | Ebook | $29 |
| Guitar Setup Guide | Ebook | $29 |
| Guitar Soloing Guide | Ebook | $29 |
| Four bonus learning tools | Practice and reference tools inside the member area | $196 |
Our view on the extras: the Custom Lesson Plan is genuinely useful if you take it up in your first month, because it answers the question every beginner asks, which is what to practise next. The licks series and the bootcamp are good additions for a player who already has the basics. The ebooks are nice to have. Do not buy the bundle for the extras; buy it because $99 for a year of Guitar Tricks is the lowest price it ever sells at.
Is it actually a good deal?
Yes, and the comparison is simple:
| How you could pay for a year | Cost |
|---|---|
| Monthly at $29.95 | $359.40 |
| Annual at list price | $179 |
| Annual with code SAVE20 | $143.20 |
| Black Friday bundle | $99 |
The marketing says “$899 value” and “89% off”. Ignore that and look at the line that matters: $99 against the $179 most people would otherwise pay, which is 45% off, and $44 less than the best coupon code. Guitar Tricks has run the $99 price every Black Friday since at least 2022 and has never gone lower, so there is nothing to be gained by waiting for Cyber Monday.
Who should buy it, and who should wait
Buy it if:
- You have done the free trial and you are still practising. This is the moment to lock in a year.
- You were going to pay for the annual plan anyway. You just saved $80.
- You are buying for a beginner this Christmas. A year of structured lessons is a better present than a second guitar.
Wait, or skip it, if:
- You have never tried it. Start the 14-day free trial now, use it for a week, and come back for the $99 price before the sale ends. Read our full Guitar Tricks review first if you want the detail.
- You are already past intermediate level and want depth in jazz, fingerstyle or improvisation. TrueFire’s Black Friday pricing (below) is the better buy for you.
- You only wanted a month. There is no monthly version of this deal; use the SAVE20 code on the monthly plan instead.
How to get the deal
- Click the button on this page. The Black Friday offer is shown on Guitar Tricks’ homepage while the deal is live; no code is needed.
- Click “Claim my deal” and create an account with email, Google, Apple or Facebook.
- Choose the $99 first-year bundle and pay.
- The bonus content appears in your account. Start with the Custom Lesson Plan.
- Put the renewal date in your calendar.
If the $99 price is not showing on the Guitar Tricks site, the deal has ended. Check the status line at the top of this page, and use the SAVE20 code instead.

Guitar Tricks Black Friday deal history
| Year | Deal |
|---|---|
| 2022 | $99 for a year of Full Access |
| 2023 | $99 for a year plus bonus content |
| 2024 | $99 for a year plus extras |
| 2025 | $99 bundle quoted at $899 value, with the Custom Lesson Plan, a bootcamp, the 100 Essential Licks series, ebooks and four learning tools. Ended 28 November. |
| 2026 | $99 for the first year plus the Ultimate Beginner Bundle, live from early November. End date not yet announced. |
The pattern is reliable: $99, late November, with a bundle that grows a little each year. Guitar Tricks also repeated the $99 price for a summer sale in July 2026 and a Labor Day sale in September 2026, so if you miss this one another will come, but not before the January rush of new-year learners.
Frequently asked questions
When does the Guitar Tricks Black Friday sale end?
Guitar Tricks has not published a date for 2026. In 2025 it ended on 28 November. Black Friday 2026 is 27 November and Cyber Monday is 30 November; the safe assumption is that the price runs through that weekend and not much longer.
Does the $99 plan renew at $99?
Guitar Tricks calls it $99 for your first year, so expect the standard annual price at renewal. The 60-day money-back guarantee covers the first two months either way.
Can I use the SAVE20 coupon on top of the Black Friday price?
No. Codes do not apply to promotional prices, and $99 is already lower than SAVE20 gives you.
I am already a Guitar Tricks member. Can I get it?
In past years the offer has been for new annual sign-ups. Ask Guitar Tricks support; it has been known to help monthly members move to the deal.
Is there a separate Cyber Monday deal?
Historically the Black Friday price has simply continued through Cyber Monday. We have never seen a lower price than $99.
Is the Black Friday bundle the same as the summer $99 sale?
Same price, bigger bundle. The Black Friday version has been the largest of the year.
